Hi, my name is Quinn.
I am on a journey to increase the simplicity in my life and thought I would share it with others that may be interested in the same sort of ideas.
I have been interested in simple living since I was a child. I remember my Mother coming home with our first microwave and asking, can we get rid of the stove now because it takes up more space and we don’t need two items that perform the same function. I was eight at the time.
As I grew into an adult, I was taught like most of us are that life is work, work, work and the fun would come at vacation time and when I retire. I played along with this until I was 35 at which time I decided there are other things I want to do with my time like experience life.
Let’s face it, two or three weeks off a year is not enough for anyone and nobody can guarantee you are going to retire in such a way that you will have a home that is paid for and plenty of money to do what you wish when you wish.
I started this blog as a way to share stories and ideas on how to live a simpler lifestyle with the hope of helping others slow down and enjoy each day.
I currently reside in the southwestern United States with my husband Spencer. We live in a one bedroom apartment but recently purchased some land in the pacific northwest. We are in the process of preparing the land to get a small home put on it.
I hope you join along and find ways to make your life more simple and fulfilling where you are now as well as inspire others to do the same.
